Tianqi (Jimmy) Wei, from Dr. Mingyi Xie’s lab, and Matthew Johnson, from Dr. Jörg Bungert’s lab, were selected for The Center for Undergraduate Research’s Emerging Scholars Program

The Emerging Scholars Program introduces undergraduate students at the University of Florida to the exciting world of academic research. In the program, students work one-on-one with UF faculty on selected research projects. Through this initiative, students will take away an understanding of and appreciation for the scholarly method. Selected students receive a $1,000 stipend split two semester terms. The program will consist of undertaking a full research project primarily during fall and spring semesters of the academic year, under the guidance of a faculty member. The Emerging Scholars Program serves as an introduction to undergraduate research for UF students.

We are pleased to congratulate Jimmy and Matthew on this accomplishment!
