Introduction to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology

Introduction: BCH 4024 surveys the structure, functional properties, synthesis, and degradation of the following: amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids.

EXAM SCHEDULE
The examination periods will be from 6:10 p.m. to 8:10 p.m. on the days indicated, in rooms to be assigned later. Any changes in these times will be announced. The final examination is scheduled for [date to be announced later], 2009, [time to be announced later], in rooms that will be determined later. There will be four two-hour examinations, each worth one hundred points, with a course total of four hundred points. Final letter grades will be determined solely on the basis of performance on these examinations. All examinations will be based on the material covered in the lectures, in the discussion periods, and in the textbook. The final examination will not be cumulative. Individual make-up examinations will not be given, but one two-hour, one-hundred-point make-up exam on all previously-covered material will be given for all students who missed one of the three scheduled examinations.
