We are pleased to announce that two of our outstanding students, Mitchell Gulkis and Harrison Clarke, have been recognized for their exceptional research at the 2025 Medical Guild Graduate Research event. Their achievements highlight the remarkable talent and dedication within our department.
Mitchell Gulkis, a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate, received the prestigious gold medal award for his groundbreaking work on the structural and biophysical investigations of human Bufavirus. His research was guided by his mentors, Dr. Robert McKenna and Dr. Linda Bloom, whose expertise and support were instrumental in his success.
Harrison Clarke was also a Finalist in the Advancement to Candidacy Awards for his innovative research in multiplex mass spectrometry imaging of N-glycans, glycogen, lipids, and small metabolites.
