Linking the Gator Good to the Needs of the Community

On Friday, Nov. 10, the federally recognized Veteran's Day holiday, three of our Biochemistry & Molecular Biology staff gave of their time to provide assistance at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center. Richanne Lamb, Teresa White and Terry Rickey provided transport of veteran patients from their hospital rooms to a bingo game and then spent time with those gathered for the game, helping with their cards and cheering for the winners! All three of these staff feel that they benefited far more from this experience than did the veteran patients they were pleased to meet and assist.

Check out UF’s many volunteer opportunities, and make an impact in our community by
volunteering today!
