Course Description
BCH5404 is designed to provide early-stage graduate students in the life sciences with a firm foundation in the structure, function, and metabolism of amino acids, proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, and nucleic acids. It also introduces concepts in cell structure, replication, cell signaling, growth control, and metabolic regulation. The course also introduces students to critical evaluation of primary research literature and small group presentations.
