Metabolism will be studied in the context of medical situations. Lectures material will cover basic concepts in carbohydrate, lipid, and nitrogen metabolism. Students will enhance their understanding of human metabolism by applying their knowledge to the analysis and discussion of clinical case studies and primary literature within the metabolism field. As a final project, students will create their own case study scenario.
